Customer photo review of DYEETIC 5000A Portable Jump Starter for All Vehicles

Lightweight, this doesn't feel as heavy-duty and solid as my other 5000a jump starter. With most things, lightweight is good, but this doesn't feel like there is much power within it. I haven't had to use this yet but I don't think I'll trust it as my primary emergency pump starter until I try it in my driveway. Great value and seems easy to use though, so may be fine.

This is good battery jump starter, especially for the price. It's currently listed at 99.99 but with coupon it's only 59.99. In my opinion that is a real bargain. Opening the box I was very impressed with the somewhat rigid shell zippered carrying case that it comes in. It is very nice quality and the zipper works great. Opening up the case you're greeted with the jump starter on one side, within a fitted and padded spot for it to live. One the other side is a zippered mesh compartment holding the battery cables, a charging cable, and instructions. Separating the two sides is a nicely padded strap to keep things from bumping around. Very nice. The unit was at about a 75% charge, which is easy to see just by pressing the power button. I plugged it in using the supplied usb-c charging cable and charged it up to 100%. The manufacturer claims it has "ultra low" power consumption and has a 2 year standby time. So far I've had for about a week and it's still at 100%. A long press of the power button turns on a light that is built in to the top and this would be useful for hooking it up to a car in the dark. The jumper cables get hooked up to the car battery and then you simply plug the other end into this jumper pack and away you go. Aside from using it as a jump starter it is also simply a large portable power bank. You can use it to charge or power any usb device. It's shame that all it has for output is usb-a plugs, it would have been nice to have a usb-c plug also for output. We are currently in a winter storm where I am and I have this power bank, (along with some others we have) at the ready in case we lose power and need to charge our phones or something. The unit seems to be made very well and everything so far is working as it should. The battery cables plug that plugs into the unit works well. Only time will tell to determine how durable it is and/or if the manufacturers claim of 2 year standby time will hold true. Overall, I'm very pleased with the jump starter and wouldn't hesitate recommend to to someone else.

As a shade-tree mechanic who's turned wrenches on everything from cars to pickups to heavy equipment for years, I gotta say this little portable jump starter is a solid deal, especially at the sale price point. It lists for $99.99 list, but snag the coupon and you're only out about $60― that's basically stealing it for what you get. First off, the build quality is on point. The zippered carrying case has a pretty rigid shell―feels tough enough to bounce around in the back of a service truck without getting beat up. The zipper glides smooth and it's a nice padded setup inside. Pop the case open and you've got the unit nestled in a fitted, cushioned spot on one side so it doesn't rattle. Opposite is a mesh zip pocket with the heavy-duty jumper cables, USB-C charging cable, and the manual all tucked away neat. There's even a padded divider strap in the middle to keep everything from banging together in transit. Organization like that matters when you're digging for tools at 2 a.m. on a dead battery. Came in at roughly 80% charge out of the box―just hit the power button and the LEDs tell you straight up. Hooked up the included USB-C cable, topped it off to 100% in no time. They claim "ultra-low" self-discharge with a legit 2-year standby. I've had it sitting a month now and it's still holding full―impressive for lithium gear that usually leaks like a sieve if you forget it. Long-press the start button and the built-in LED light kicks on up top―bright enough for fumbling around under the hood in the dark when you're hooking up clamps on a dead battery at night but it is not a replacement for a real flashlight, don't get me wrong. The clamps feel decent―solid connection to the posts―and the plug end snaps securely into the unit. They seem to be made of a fiberglass-reinforced plastic of some sort. These jump starter boxes are super simple to use; just clamp to the battery positive terminal and the negative to a ground like normal, plug into the pack, and crank. Fires right up (assuming it's sized right for the engine―I've used similar ones on smaller diesels and gas rigs without issue, though big boys like a 6.7L might want something with more peak amps). Beyond jumping, it's a beefy portable power bank too, weighing in at only 480 grams. Dual USB-A outputs handle charging phones, tablets, or running small 12V stuff. Kinda wish it had a USB-C out but it gets the job done, I just threw an extra adapter I had on hand into the case. I've currently got it staged in the trunk of my wife's car ready to go in case the battery dies unexpectedly on her. Everything seems built tough so far―no cheap plastic feel, connections are secure, no weird heat or smells during charge/use. Durability is the real test over time, especially that 2-year standby claim, but initial impressions are strong. Bottom line: I'm happy with it. For the money, it's a no-brainer to throw in the toolbox or under the seat. I'd hand one to another wrench or a buddy without thinking twice.

I haven't had the chance to test the jump-starting feature yet (which is probably a good thing), but I did try out the other functions. The built-in flashlight is very bright, and the power bank works as expected. It charged my phone and Bluetooth headphones without any issues. It's compact enough to keep in your glove box, and it's the kind of thing you'll be glad to have on hand instead of relying on roadside assistance or hoping someone nearby has jumper cables. So far, it seems like a reliable emergency accessory. I'll update my review once I’ve had a chance to test the jump-starting capability.
